Danish Estates: Anne Julie Smooth Bent Apple

Product Number: 004-001-19138

When her husband, Poul Rasmussen, passed away, Anne Julie took over the workshop and became, for some time, the most famous female pipe maker. It was a fairly empty category for a while, happily changing as more and more talented women demonstrate their skills. This bent Apple offers soft curves in its transition to the upward arching shank, which leads to the tapering mouthpiece. It's an organic presentation, reminiscent of Julius Vesz in its distinctive bend and high transition, but it's all Anne Julie, especially in regard to the independent nature of the bowl and its meticulous curvature.
