Exemplifying the shaping style of S. Bang pipes, this Billiard showcases the robust proportions and hearty muscularity often seen throughout Per and Ulf's portfolio. As such, this piece commands attention and rests substantially in hand without being excessively large or cumbersome. The shape is classic and spot-on, with the bowl canted forward to balance the profile. As is often the case with Billiards from Danish artisans, the bowl here is gently rounded, rather than firmly upright, conforming well to the palm and offering a soft disposition. Not soft, though, is this pipe's sandblasted finish — a finish less often seen from the esteemed workshop — and it's simply accented with a smooth, softly inflated rim. Condition-wise, it should be noted that the half-saddle stem is a hand-cut replacement.
