Danish Estates: Teddy Knudsen Smooth Bent Dublin with Bamboo Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-19407
It's a rare occurrence indeed to find a Teddy Knudsen piece among our estate pipes, with this bent Dublin showcasing the carver's enormous skill and more than 50 years of experience. The bowl's firm, angular heel, along with a gradual flare toward the gently inflated, sloping rim reflects the artisan's deft shaping talents, as the grain follows the shaping perfectly. Tight tendrils of flame grain rise toward the rim, where a wealth of birdseye also captures one's attention. Out back, the abbreviated, lithe shank is extended by two pale knuckles of bamboo, again executed with flair and adding to the organic disposition of the piece. Topped by a short saddle stem and dressed in a vibrant stain, this pipe likely won't be available much longer.
