Danish Estates: Svendborg Sandblasted Billiard Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-32615
Made in the Svendborg pipe factory, which was founded by Poul Ilsted and Jens "Tao" Nielsen, this straight Billiard is a robust imagining of the classic shape. The bowl here takes up a good deal of the visual weight, standing tall atop a firm heel and taking on a subtle taper to the rim that accentuates its gentle forward cant. The shank transitions with an understated cheeking, pushing out just a bit before the black vulcanite stem takes hold, working well with the ruddy sandblast of the stummel to foster a timeless aesthetic.
