Danish Estates: Former Smooth Bent Dublin

Product Number: 004-001-28894

Hans "Former" Nielsen's bent Dublin and Horn renditions fall along a similar spectrum, often sharing a number of characteristics and all united by the Danish artisan's superb shaping acumen and stem work. This piece exudes a Horn-like sense of forward gesture and gradual flare through the shank, transition, and bowl, becoming fully realized in a broad rim of natural plateau. Compared to the Dublin bowl, the shank is more proportionally slender, gently curving upward before the saddle stem's recurve balances out the profile. Dressed in a tasteful contrast stain, the stummel reveals a stunning array of flame grain, conforming well to the bowl's shaping and offering a beautiful presentation that's worthy of such a well-shaped pipe.
