Bjarne pipes, founded by Bjarne Nielsen, employed seven pipe makers and were available in 32 different countries until Bjarne's death in 2008. This Freehand is a bold, robustly proportioned piece with a flattened heel that dramatically flares up toward the broad, slightly undulating rim that's crowned in rugged plateau. The slanted shank face also features plateau, further accentuating the design's organicism before giving way to the gracefully downturned acrylic stem. Unsmoked.
