Danish Estates: Bari Wiking Smooth Bent Egg Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-21821
Bari's shape chart is usually one of fairly classic Danish design, yet every now and then we'll receive a piece that's more Freehand than anything. This particular piece is a fine example, featuring a gestural Egg base shape, only executed with plenty of flourish that likens its to Fancy style Freehand designs. The bowl is comfortable in hand, conforming well to the contours of the fingers, and its dynamic forward urge keeps the piece exciting, while the sharp upturn of the shank and steep arc of the stem ensure a comfortable smoking posture. The warm chestnut stain dressing the stummel reveals some handsome, dense wisps of flame grain wrapping around the bowl and up the shank: a lovely dressing for this unique pipe.
