Lightweight and compact, this bent Bulldog is a charming piece from the famed W.Ø. Larsen workshop. It poses the form's characteristic broad bowl, complete with domed rim and wrapping beadlines, at the fore of a sinuously bent and decidedly trim shank-and-stem arrangement. At the top and bottom of the diamond shank, the firm, muscular lines are considerably softened, taking on a more rounded appearance, not dissimilar to a reuleaux triangle. The dramatically chamfered rim further softens the usually structural design while at the same time ensuring that a favored blend will easily load into the modestly sized chamber. A warm, eye-catching smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights the fine strands of flame grain across the flanks of the bowl and the pinpricks of birdseye around the rim.
