A striking design, this Acorn from Bjarne Nielsen features a heavy-set bowl with a flared rim and a steady downward taper to a sharp, pronounced heel. The abbreviated shank is extended by two knuckles of vibrant bamboo that give way to a briar spacer and an arcing saddle stem of jet-black vulcanite. The organic material lends a touch of warmth to the composition that really captures the eye and harmonizes well with the traditional smooth finish of the stummel.
