Danish Estates: Nils Frederiksen Smooth Bent Egg Tobacco Pipe

Nil Frederiksen started crafting pipes in 1993 and received instruction from Flemming Petersen and Tom Eltang at the beginning of his career. This bent Egg is a sinuous, thoroughly Danish take on the classic shape, with a plump, forward-surging bowl set at the fore of an upturned shank and a slender saddle stem. The bowl's forward drive lends the composition a sense of momentum, which is supported by the gentle curvature of the shank and stem. It's dressed in dark, walnut-hued smooth that highlights streaks of flame grain across the softly contoured flanks of the bowl.
