Danish Estates: Nording Smooth Bent Dublin (N) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

An exceptional, older piece from Erik Nording that was crafted before his current numbering system, this bent Dublin is rich in grain and shaping precision. The tall, forward-canting bowl presents a flaring, gently inflated and wavy rim along with the supple lines and soft contours expected from Danish design. A tight, mid-set transition and upwardly curling shank are topped by a downturned vulcanite stem, with a handsome hardwood accent seen at the shank face. Erik has dressed this piece in one of his vibrant auburn stains, which delightedly shows off stunning whorls of birdseye saturating the rim along with dense tendrils of flame grain on all flanks. Unsmoked.
