Danish Estates: Stanwell Omega (BR 22) (9mm) (pre-2010) Tobacco Pipe

A pipe we have seen very few iterations of from Stanwell, the Omega is unquestionably a rare, or at least uncommon, shape from the Danish marque. Its shaping is something of a fusion of bent Egg and Horn, the rapid expansion from shank to bowl accentuating the bulbous curvature in the former and giving the piece an undeniable in-hand presence, especially given the trio of ridgelines at the fore. The band of golden hued metal at the shank end and the jet black saddle stem work quite well with the grain-defining mahogany stain of the briar, and the rareness of the shape coupled with its handsome looks make it a compelling pipe that would enhance any Stanwell collection or make an excellent every day smoker.
