Danish Estates: Peter Stokkebye Smooth Bent Brandy (A) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-33450
Jørgen Larsen was the artisan behind Peter Stokkebye pipes before he developed an allergy to briar dust and had to unfortunately retire. It's a real shame, as the Danish carver was remarkably talented and demonstrated a keen eye for shaping and line work, as evidenced by this bent Brandy. This piece features a tall, plump bowl that stands proudly at the fore of a steeply curved shank-and-stem arrangement. The bowl rises from a broad heel that keeps the underside of this pipe nicely rounded, enhancing the curvaceous, supple elements of this pipe's construction. The shank and stem's upturned posture encourages a comfortable smoking position and adds a nice bit of gesture to the overall form. A warm auburn stain dresses the stummel and highlights a stunning display of flame grain across the bowl, its hues complemented by the cumberland saddle stem.
