Wengholt pipes were an offering from the Preben Holm workshop, and this example is far from the type of Freehand design most often attributed to Holm. With a dramatic forward inclination and profound structural lines and panels along its shank and heel, it also offers a mouthpiece with an offset base and the subtlest whisper of a downward bend. Forward momentum is well-defined by the canted bowl and its crisp lines, topped by a flat rim further advancing the aesthetic. It's a sporty rendition with a modernist flair, and it remains unsmoked.
