Danish Estates: S. Bang Smooth Acorn (A) Tobacco Pipe

Soft of line and just ever-so-subtly plump, this broad and rounded-rim design is one Per and Ulf call their Tulip. Being as it is essentially a variation on the Acorn, it is of course very different from the other, common shape within the Danish school also called a Tulip; that one is a variation on the Brandy with an especially low waistline and an emphasis on tapering height, usually ending in a canted rim. That the shape-name was already in use is just fine by me. Any pipemaker (or pipemakers) who makes a shape this lovely can call it whatever they like, in my book.
