An elegant and muscular rendition of the Rhodesian shape, this piece from Peter Stokkebye boasts a tall, forward-canted bowl that stands over two inches tall and houses a capacious chamber within its thick, insulating walls. A crisp ridgeline wraps around the waist of the bowl, demarcating the tapering rim from the rest of the stummel. The towering bowl is paired to a comparatively slender shank-and-stem arrangement, resulting in a fairly neoclassical silhouette that's at once eye-catching and elegant. Dressed in an auburn smooth finish, the stummel reveals fine tendrils of flame grain across the flanks of the bowl.
