Danish Estates: Tom Eltang Rusticated Cutty (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Though not as often seen nowadays as his iconic Poker, this Cutty from Tom Eltang is readily recognized as a signature shape from the Danish carver and wears the same rustication style as his revered Poker. With an inherent, floral disposition, the bowl bulges from out of the crisp transition before flaring suddenly just at the rim, reminding me of an elegant tulip bulb before bloom. The bowl's forward cant is accentuated by the slight downward turn of the stem, lending the profile a flowing sense of forward momentum and making for an easy feel in hand. The chamber is generously deep, and the in-hand feel is all one could want. Unsmoked.
