Danish Estates: Stanwell Smooth Billiard with Silver (97) (pre-2010) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-34035

Stanwell helped popularize Danish pipes in the United States thanks to their unique shapes, many of which were designed by legendary pipe makers such as Sixten Ivarsson, Jess Chonowitsch, and Tom Eltang. This "97" by Stanwell toes the line between Billiard and Liverpool, as the rounded shank is certainly longer than that of a proportional Billiard but is not considerably protracted. Either way, the pert Billiard bowl, which gently tapers to the rim, will be familiar to fans of either shape. The ambiguously-shaped stummel is dressed in an auburn stain, which is accompanied by a bright silver band and a sleek, jet-black, acrylic tapered stem.
