Danish Estates: Renomme Sandblasted Potato Sack Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-34445
Originally designed by Sixten Ivarsson for Stanwell, the Potato Sack is a unique pipe shape that's defined by an Acorn-like bowl and a gestural shank-and-stem arrangement. This particular rendition from Renomme alters the form slightly, but manages to retain the form's distinctive spirit. The alternations occur mostly at the bowl, which boasts a rear-slanted rim and a forward-surging heel. The heel and rim, with their juxtaposing trajectories, lend the form a dynamic appearance in profile, one that's accentuated by the high-reaching shank-and-stem arrangement. Dressed in a dark sandblast, the stummel offers a wealth of visual and tactile intrigue.
