Danish Estates: Stanwell Diamond Smooth (06) (1970s-1990s) Tobacco Pipe

Originally designed in 1951 by the legendary Sixten Ivarsson, the "06" is one of Stanwell's oldest designer shapes. The tall, strongly tapered Dublin bowl pairs beautifully with the low-set transition and the almost serpentine gesture to the shank and stem, transforming a usually jaunty shape into something much more sinuous and soft in line and form. This example is topped with dual brass bands and a warm auburn stain.
