Mike Sebastian Bay is an accomplished artisan working in unmistakable Danish style. A former student of Tom Eltang, he often employs the latter's signature rustication technique, with Tom's blessing and a deft hand. This Cutty is a fine example of Bay's work, displaying the bulb-like bowl of the timeless shape paired to a sleek round shank fitted with a vulcanite saddle stem, further elevated by an accent ring made from genuine mammoth. This pipe's excellent design and light weight make it a perfect clencher. Dressed in a black rustication borrowed from Eltang, this piece offers a wealth of tactile appeal thanks to its simulated pattern of stacked ring grain.
