Danish Estates: Poul Hansen Smooth Acorn with Horn (1960s) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-34846

Poul Hansen was a toolmaker whose clientele included various Danish pipe makers. Seeing those skilled artisans practicing their craft, Hansen became fascinated with pipe making and eventually began crafting his own pieces. Dated to the 1960s, this Acorn pairs a tall, subtly flared bowl to an upturned shank and a demurely curved tapered stem. As one might expect, the bowl houses a capacious chamber within its supple frame, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions, which the sinuous shank and stem will deftly aid. Dressed in an auburn smooth finish, the stummel displays gorgeous birdseye across the bowl's flanks.
