Danish Estates: W.O. Larsen Smooth Bent Brandy with Boxwood (8) (Straight Grain) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-34948

W.Ø. Larsen was, at one point, the home to many of Denmark's most esteemed carvers, including Sixten Ivarsson, Teddy Knudsen, Tonni Nielsen, Jess Chonowitsch, and Hans "Former" Nielsen. A handsome showcase of the workshop's style, this bent Brandy boast a tall, slightly canted bowl that's posed at the fore of a fluidly bent shank-and-stem arrangement. The bowl possesses the shape's distinctive taper, which begins at the heel and ends at the slightly tauter rim. A pair of beadlines accentuates the bowl's gradual upward taper by emphasizing how cinched the bowl's waistline is compared to its heel. The lifted shank-and-stem arrangement promotes a comfortable smoking posture and lends a touch of gesture to the shape's silhouette. A warm smooth finish. dresses the stummel and highlights gorgeous flame grain across the bowl's flanks, while an accent of boxwood adorns the rim and ties the entire shape together with a splash of vibrant color.
