Danish Estates: Peter Heeschen Sandblasted Cherrywood (A) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-35093
A dynamic take on the Cherrywood shape, this piece by Peter Heeschen features a towering bowl that flares from its flat heel to its broad rim at a steady, driving angle. The bowl's forward cant is offset by the shank-and-stem arrangement, which reaches out from the low-set transition and sweeps upward toward the aft side of the composition. The shank and stem add a fluidity to the shape's profile, as well as a sense of balance to the overall design. A dark sandblast dresses the stummel and highlights vivid grain across the bowl and shank alike. The finish's dark complexion is contrasted by a band of warm hardwood at the base of the half-saddle stem.
