Danish Estates: Former Sandblasted Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-35625
Hans "Former" Nielsen's legacy stands tall among the Danish greats, his expert engineering and elegant, refined shaping acting as a prominent driving force behind many Danish design sensibilities. Showcasing the Danish artisan's clean sense of line, this Dublin by Former boasts a lean, lightweight physique, making for a pipe with a comfortable presence whether held in the hand or clenched between the teeth. Posed at the fore with a gentle forward cant is a tall, conical bowl, its walls showing a reserved flare as they reach from the soft heel toward the subtly rounded rim. Additionally, the bowl boasts a respectable chamber depth, making this piece well-suited to leisurely smoking sessions. Out back is a slender, arrow-straight shank and a gradually tapering stem, the pair lending this piece a sleek, streamlined silhouette. Dressing the stummel is a crisp, hickory-hued sandblast that reveals handsome cross grain on both flanks of the bowl and calcified birdseye along the fore and aft, with the rim and shank end left smooth for a touch of contrast.
