Danish Estates: Fireside Smooth Billiard (68) Tobacco Pipe

The Fireside brand has graced pipes from a number of different makers in the past, including makers from England, the United States, and Denmark, with this Billiard coming to us from the latter country. A Stack-like take on the classic shape, this pipe boasts a tall bowl possessed of an understated taper from its rounded heel to the chamfered rim. A wide transition pairs the bowl to a sleekly tapering shank met with a slender, black vulcanite saddle stem, placing further emphasis on the bowl while keeping the composition light. Dressed in a warm, rich stain, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout, with birdseye across both flanks of the bowl.
