Danish Estates: W.O. Larsen Partially Rusticated Bent Brandy Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-35784

W.Ø. Larsen was, at one point, the home to many of Denmark's most esteemed carvers, including Sixten Ivarsson, Teddy Knudsen, Tonni Nielsen, Jess Chonowitsch, and Hans "Former" Nielsen. A handsome showcase of the workshop's style, this bent Brandy boasts a tall, Egg-like bowl that stands at the fore of an upturned oval shank and a demurely curved tapered stem. The bowl tapers from its wide heel to its taut rim, and as it does, it takes on a low-set waistline that conforms naturally to the hand. The trim shank-and-stem arrangement promotes a comfortable smoking posture and lends a touch of sinuous gesture to the shape's profile. A striking dual finish dresses the stummel and sees a contrast-rich smooth finish juxtaposed against sections of dark rustication.
