Danish Estates: Nording Golf Pipe (No.1-2001) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-35932

Erik Nørding is one of Denmark's most prolific, well-established carvers, entering the pipe world in the late 1950s and making a name for himself with the advent of the Fancy Freehand movement. Nørding's Golf Pipe series is a now-discontinued line of pipes that ran from 2001 to around 2004, paying homage to different elements of the game, and even individual holes on specific courses. This 2001 edition was the first release, and it takes its inspiration from the most ubiquitous aspect of golf across every iteration of the sport: the golf ball. With a plump apple bowl and a short shank, the most arresting aspects of this pipe's construction are the bowl's divoted carving and the pale white finish of the stummel. Immediately recognizable as a stylized take on the game's spherical totem, Nørding completes this pipe with an elegant silver spigot mount and a sleek, tapered stem of black acrylic.
