A fairly conservative piece from Erik Nørding, this compressed Tomato offers up a plump body, thick chamber walls, and a sleek stretch of shank and stem. The form here is extremely low-slung and organic, with ample curves for the fingers to appreciate and a sleek, fluid sense of line that belies the more stylized nature of the shank-and-stem combination. A glossy, jet-black stain lends this piece an elegant aesthetic, further commended by the black vulcanite stem, lending this piece a Dress pipe aesthetic.
