Danish Estates: Tonni Nielsen Smooth Bent Brandy Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-35946
Beginning his career in the pipe industry at 16, it didn't take long for Tonni Nielsen to make a name for himself. His experience in the W.Ø. Larsen workshop, as well as his time working with icons like Hans "Former" Nielsen and Teddy Knudsen, helped Tonni Nielsen become one of the most prominent pipe artisans of his time. This bent Brandy exudes some of the most well-known characteristics of Nielsen's pipes, showcasing a combination of Danish and Anglo-French styles. Sweeping from button to bowl, the momentum of this pipe draws the eyes to the fore, where the curvaceous walls of the bowl rise with a subtle taper toward a concave rim. Out back, the transition gives way to a softly flared shank that rises to meet an accent of vulcanite and hardwood, connecting the stummel to the tapered stem. The pigments of the stem and accent pair well to the rich, smooth finish dressing the stummel, highlighting incredible birdseye along the underside and stunning flame grain across the flanks.
