Danish Estates: Nording Smooth Bent Billiard (729) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-35951

Erik Nørding is one of Denmark's most prolific, well-established carvers, entering the pipe world in the late 1950s and making a name for himself with the advent of the Fancy Freehand movement. This bent Dublin is a significantly more reserved pipe compared to much of Nørding's other work, showcasing an Oom Paul-like combination of shank and saddle stem that, while not entirely vertical, are poised for easy jaw-hanging. This shank and stem curl out of a tight transition and balance the presence of a plump, curvaceous bowl up front, its walls standing on a slightly lifted heel. Dressed in a warm, rich stain, the stummel here showcases handsome grain throughout.
