Danish Estates: Ben Wade Danish Pride Partially Rusticated Freehand Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-36326
Though originally a family-owned English marque, the Ben Wade name is best known for its "Danish era" — when it was used to market briars made by a Copenhagen workshop run by Preben Holm. This Freehand comes from that workshop and possesses a unique, Dublin-esque bowl with a sharp, forward-jutting heel and a flared rim. Said bowl houses a capacious chamber within its crescent-shaped frame, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions, which the vaulted shank-and-stem arrangement is poised to aid. A unique dual finish dresses the ensemble and sees a craggy rustication juxtaposed against a patch of smoothly polished briar.
