Danish Estates: W.O. Larsen Port Dublin (97) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-36442

W.Ø. Larsen was, at one point, the home to many of Denmark's most esteemed carvers, including Sixten Ivarsson, Teddy Knudsen, Tonni Nielsen, Jess Chonowitsch, and Hans "Former" Nielsen. A handsome showcase of the workshop's style, this "97" Dublin boasts a tall, full-bodied bowl that stands at the fore of an oval shank and a trim tapered stem. Said bowl flares from its conservative heel to its broad, flat rim, and as it does, it takes on a subtle forward cant that imbues the totality of the shape with an active stance in profile. Dressing this piece is a warm, glossy smooth finish that highlights handsome birdseye and cross grain around the bowl.
