Danish Estates: Nørding Smooth Bent Brandy (19) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-36534

Crafting pipes since the 1960s, Erik Nørding helped lead the way for the Danish Fancy Freehand movement to take flight. Nørding is known to make pipes that challenge traditional shaping cues and showcase his creativity, frequently displaying natural and more organic features. This bent Brandy from Nørding presents the aforementioned Danish traits often seen from the iconic craftsman. Up front, the palm-filling bowl resembles the pipe's namesake due to its broad heel and the gradual taper of its walls to the rim. An acute transition gives way to a sturdy, rounded shank that begins the pipe's bend toward the bit, extending a few inches before meeting the stem. A thin acrylic band wraps the base of the mouthpiece before a stylized piece of briar breaks up the inky pigment of the aft, bookended by more acrylic that tapers to the button. Throughout the stummel, rich vertical grain can be seen across the flanks, while the heel is dressed in stunning patches of birdseye.
