Like other marques that rose to prominence in mid-twentieth-century Denmark, Proctus produced pipes in the unique Danish style, with this "56" Billiard being one such example. A sleek, streamlined design, this "56" boasts a tidy silhouette, offering clean, minimalist lines and slender proportions. Up front, a tall bowl stands atop a full heel and grows trim walls that reach to a flat rim, one that oversees a capacious tobacco chamber. A wide transition follows the bowl and marks the start of a lithe shank and a tapered mouthpiece, the latter of which promotes a comfortable clench. Dressing this piece is a warm smooth finish that highlights fetching grain throughout the stummel.
