Danish Estates: Kjeld Sorensen (Red Hat) Smooth Dublin (7) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-38734

Kjeld Sorensen has been crafting pipes for more than two decades, having received tutelage by Tom Eltang and displaying a sleek, handsomely Danish style of shaping that's well represented by this Dublin. The transition is wide, and it gives way to a comparatively short shank that tapers slightly to meet a more swiftly tapering stem of black vulcanite. Though not a lengthy piece, the sleekness of stem and its length in comparison to the shank affords this piece a slightly protracted look and further pushes visual weight toward the bowl. Said bowl stands on a muscular heel and grows thick, expressively flaring walls that reach up to a deeply chamfered rim, making loading a favored blend easy. Dressed in a warm, auburn-tinged stain, the stummel displays a flickering pattern of flame grain wrapping around the bowl and flowing through the shank.
