Danish Estates: Winslow Smooth Billiard with Silver (C) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-001-38784

Poul Winslow served as the head assistant to Preben Holm before deciding to go into business for himself in the mid-1980s. Winslow is known for crafting pipes with gestural curves and organic designs that often feature vibrant colors. This Billiard by Winslow possesses a slightly elongated shank, which, along with the tapered stem, hints at the Liverpool shape, making the profile here quite sleek. At the fore, the supple bowl towers over the composition, with the cheeked transition and gentle forward-cant imbuing the piece with a dash of dynamism. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a vivid chestnut smooth finish, highlighting fine wisps of grain, and elegantly complemented by the silver band on the shank end.
