Danish Estates: Winslow Smooth Bent Dublin with Silver (C) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-38846
This bent Dublin from Poul Winslow possesses a flared, plateau-crowned rim, a sweeping heel, and a stretched transition that give the overall design a trumpeting, Horn-like appearance in profile. The flowing sense of line continues along the gently lifted shank, which is accented by a band of sterling silver and topped by a tapered stem of amber-hued acrylic. While the dark ridge of plateau lends the shape a sense of organicism, the rest of the stummel wears a handsome, orange-hued smooth finish that showcases gorgeous flame grain across all sides of the bowl. This piece is a delight to hold, conforming effortlessly to the hand and offering plenty of space for a thumb to rest over the transition. Stylish, eye-catching, and all together charming, this piece will make a welcome addition to any collector's rotation.
