Danish Estates: Jorgen Nielsen Smooth Billiard (AA) Tobacco Pipe

Jorgen Nielsen entered the world of pipes at the tender age of 10 polishing stems at the Bari factory, which was owned by his father, Viggo Nielsen, at the time. After finishing his schooling in 1971, Jorgen began making pipes full-time at his father's factory. He developed a knack for sanding and polishing, so much so that he headed these processes for several years. His pipe making was put on hold during service in the Danish military, but he eventually returned and joined forces with his brother, Kai Nielsen, to further build up the Bari brand. Jorgen's efforts were concentrated on building up their German market, which he was able to accomplish successfully over the next decade. In 1985, Jorgen and Kai founded Pibehuset, where they would work alongside each other for six years carving pipes. After those six years, Jorgen took another break from pipe making, but returned once more in 2002 and has been independently producing beautifully made pipes ever since, this smooth Billiard being one of them.
