Danish Estates: Karl Erik Ekstravagant Smooth Bent Dublin with Horn (B) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-001-39116
This bent Dublin from Karl Erik is an eccentric take on the traditional shape. Viewing the pipe from an aerial perspective, one can see that the bowl has an ellipticity reminiscent of an Opera, with a width that is significantly shorter than the length. Thick and sturdy walls encircle a respectable chamber. There is a lot of forward motion to this bent Dublin's shape due to the shallow heel and sweeping arc that connects the fore-facing rim to the shank's face. Said shank has an almost lenticular cross-section, but the ridges are set low, making for an asymmetrical bifurcation. A brown- and cream-striped horn accent forms the saddle stem's shoulders before joining to a black vulcanite bit with a delphine arc to its bend. The smooth stummel is dressed in a chestnut-hued stain that spotlights beautiful flame grain encircling the bowl.
