Boasting over 50 years of experience, Tom Eltang is one of the most prolific artisans within the Danish pipe making school. While he's created some fascinating Freehands, Eltang's more minimalist pieces are just as revered. Whether he's crafting a freehand piece or a shape-chart classic, Eltang always prioritizes proportion, harmony, and balance above all — one example being this bent Egg.

This piece is replete with flowing, organic curves, its silhouette showcasing effortless, fluid momentum. A tall bowl with plump walls and a low waistline balances on the end of the gracefully bent shank-and-stem arrangement. The heel of the bowl flows seamlessly into the curved shank, which is in turn met by a long, demurely bent stem. The bowl's deep chamber and the curvature of the lengthy shank and stem make this pipe well-suited for long, relaxed smoking sessions.
