English Estates: Charatan's Make Special Bent Dublin (Extra Large) (1965-1970s)

Product Number: 004-002-7856

Charatan has gone through quite a few "eras": Family era, Lane era, Dunhill era, Saint-Claude era, and then, finally, Dunhill era again - albeit now made by Colin Fromm. This Charatan hails from the Lane era, which along with the family era constitutes the two periods considered the most desirable by collectors. It was Herman Lane who proved most effective at promoting Charatans in the US, eventually leading to Lane Ltd. becoming their sole distributor for the American market, and then later taking over the company after the passing of Reuben Charatan.
