Sale!  English Estates: Ashton Pebble Grain Paneled Bent Panel (XXX) (Late 1990s) (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-002-5982

I'm not sure if Bill Taylor shaped this pipe to have concave panels or if they were simply shaped flat and aggressively blasted to make them appear this way. I believe the blasting gave the bowl a sunken-cheek appearance, which makes the piece a beautiful example of what extra pressure and time can do to a piece of briar. Pipe smokers all over the world have raved about Ashton blasts for decades, and for good reason. It should be noted, in this case, that the airway is slightly high in the chamber.
