A not-silver repair band on a Dunhill is a little unusual, but I'm guessing this little Shell Briar was someone's particularly well-liked smoker, and it was getting it smoking again that was important. Though the band covers up the date stamp, the rest of the nomenclature makes it clear this briar has been around for quite a while. Not a bad find at all if you're looking for a Dunhill on the cheap — neat shape, and it even sits well.
