English Estates: Dunhill Cumberland Christmas 'Ten Pipers Piping' (5101) (327/500) (2002) (Unsmoked)

Product Number: 004-002-13716

From 1993 to 2004, Dunhill released twelve extraordinary, limited edition Christmas pipes based on themes from the Christmas song, "Twelve Days of Christmas." The 2002 offering was based on "Ten Pipers Piping." Featuring a thick sterling band around the outside of the rim and a wide silver band inscribed with the words "Ten Pipers piping," it's a traditional Group 5 Apple with reddish-hued stain for the cumberland finish (along with the cumberland stem, of course). The sterling silver tamper included with the set is graced with ten pipers, all evidently piping. Sadly, they are musical pipes rather than smoking pipes, but the limitations of the original song made that necessary.
