English Estates: The Lumberman Special Smooth Canadian (by Comoy's) (1930s) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-002-14651
The pipe is a rarity. Firstly, I've never seen a Canadian with such a noticeably canted bowl as this one; it suits it quite well too, giving the shape even more forward momentum as the eyes travel down the lengthy shank. Secondly, and most importantly, the football-style stamp declaring, "Made in England," dates this legend to the 1930s, making this pipe older than most people interested in owning it. It should be noted that a tiny hairline crack has developed on the shank-end near the mortise, but it's in fine condition otherwise, especially for a piece almost 90 years old.
