English Estates: Dunhill Tanshell (EC) (4) (T) (1964)
Product Number: 004-002-19950
Through the 1920s and '70s, Dunhill sometimes utilized shaping system that relied on letters instead of number — forms like the "PO," "LB," and "LC" being especially memorable. The "EC," featured here, was a classic Canadian, elongated and oval of shank, fitted to a shortened mouthpiece and standard Billiard bowl. In Group 4 size, the sleek shank-and-stem combination effectively throws much of the visual weight forward toward the bowl, dressed in the collectible Tanshell finish. It should also be noted that this 1964 piece does feature a replacement stem dot.-Truett Smith
