A dark finish with a warm timbre, a bowl stacked with rugged, well-defined ring grain, a lovely cumberland stem and a classic long-shanked shape? Sounds good to me. And finding exactly all that in this Ashton, which is sitting on my desk as I type this, I have to say it certainly looks mighty fine as well.
