English Estates: Dunhill Red Bark (56) (F/T) (4) (R/B) (1972)
Product Number: 004-002-19953
Dunhill's Red Bark finish was a precursor to the Ruby Bark finish and was more of a reddish-orange treatment than the scarlet sandblast seen in later years. Dunhill produced their Red Bark sandblast for only a few years (1972-1987), so this "56" is quite a collectable briar from the English marque. This Group 4 iteration of the bent Billiard features a tall bowl with a respectable amount of chamber paired to a gracefully arcing shank and stem. Handsomely wrought, this pipe is sure to please fans of classic pipes. Condition-wise, it should be noted that the stem dot is a replacement.-Angela Robertson
