English Estates: Dunhill Shell Briar (5) (1992)
Product Number: 004-002-17029
Though not stamped as such, this 1992 piece is clearly Dunhill's "12" Stack design. It's seen in two variants — one being a traditionally tall version of a straight Billiard, and the other, seen here, being in all respects the same except for the cutaway rim. Affectionately referred to as the "Windshield Pipe," it's one of the first shape's that Dunhill ever presented, making it quite the historic design. Offered here in Group 5 size, there's plenty of chamber and surface area on which to enjoy the Shell Briar sandblast. Just some unevenness and mild carbonizing in the chamber as well as some minor rim darkening to note condition-wise.-Truett Smith
